Dirty Footprints Studio's Mission...

Dirty Footprints Studio provides an inspiring, fun environment where creative expression and self discovery are cultivated and nurtured through art education that focuses on celebrating individuality, supporting community, and enhancing lifelong learning.

How Dirty Footprints Studio Got It's Name...

Ever since I was a kiddo I have loved to be barefoot. There's something about my feet directly in contact with the earth that makes me feel balanced and alive.

But the name didn't come to me until I moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 2006. While being a part of a beautiful ceramic co-op studio out in the desert, almost every day I would go there and work (barefoot of course) when one of my studio mates commented that they always knew when I was there earlier because of my dirty footprints on the floor. Voila--Dirty Footprints Studio was born!!

But over the years it has taken on deeper meaning. I believe art and creativity is a journey we embark on ...and for me, one that I want to travel on throughout my whole life...leaving my own dirty footprints as I travel the valleys, mountain peaks, and beautiful coast lines of this wonderful Creative Juicy Life.

The Dirty Footprints Studio Vision...

Imagine a creative oasis tucked inside the rainforest, but only a few steps from the beautiful blue Pacific Ocean. Can you feel the breeze right after the rain? Do you hear the monkeys as they call to you and jump from tree to tree asking you to play? How is that mango smoothie in your hand? Refreshing, yes? How is your heart? How free does your soul feel? Don't you love the feel of paint on your fingertips? Welcome to Dirty Footprints Studio in Guanacaste, Costa Rica...this is my vision...my big dream...the next stop on my Creative Juicy Life. One day soon Lovelies, Dirty Footprints Studio will have a home, a place it can settle into the earth, and support healing, quench creativity, and provide a place for kindred souls to gather. Will you join me now by just believing!! Then tomorrow start planning your next retreat, your next gift to yourself at Dirty Footprints Studio, Costa Rica.

A Poem I Base My Creative Juicy Life On...

I PROMISE MYSELF

To be so strong that nothing can disturb my peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person I meet.
To make all my friends feel that there is something worth while in them.
To look at the sunny side of everything and make my optimism come true.
To think only of the best, to work only for the best
and to expect only the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of
others as I am about my own.
To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the
greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful expression at all times and give a smile
to every living creature I meet.
To give so much time to improving myself that I
have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear,
and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
To think well of myself and to proclaim this fact to the world,
not in loud word, but in great deeds.
To live in the faith that the whole world is on my side,
so long as I am true to the best that is in me.
